The Waldorf Astoria, San Francisco

Tatar Art Projects is pleased to announce it has been selected as the art consultant for Hilton’s highly anticipated and newest property, Waldorf Astoria San Francisco.

The latest addition to the iconic brand’s world-wide chain of luxury hotels, the Waldorf Astoria San Francisco will occupy the first 21 floors in a signature tower designed by the award winning, London-based Foster + Partners.  The hotel’s interiors will be created by world-renowned hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates.

TAP has been engaged as the art consultant responsible for developing the hotel’s art program, which will include all public areas, guest rooms and suites.

Our team is incredibly excited to bring our expertise to such a landmark project. Our strategy is to deliver an integrated program reflective of the brand’s luxury with elements of this iconic destination.  Our goal is to contribute to the Waldorf’s world-class guest experience. Darren Alexander, President, TAP.

Located at Mission Street in San Francisco’s emerging Transbay neighbourhood, the hotel will be the centerpiece of a 2 million square foot mixed use development and is set to become the second tallest tower in the city. The hotel will offer 171 rooms and suites, the famous ‘Peacock Alley’ restaurant, and a spacious trademark Waldorf spa.

Together with Hirsch Bedner Associates and Foster + Partners, TAP is forging an iconic art program that will blend the Waldorf brand’s signature worldly sophistication with modern accouterments reflective of this iconic destination.

Our approach involves developing a powerful and impactful visual narrative that enhances the guest experience, enriches the designed environment, and tells the brand story. This highly curated art program will evoke the luxury and grandeur of the Waldorf Astoria within a San Francisco context, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation as a world-class luxury destination.
